Hey there. It's been a minute, hasn't it? That's my bad. Life has a funny way of getting you when you're not paying attention. That's what happened to me. A hardware failure took the system offline, I realized the way I was doing WatchedSky wasn't great engineering, and I let it slip away.
I have some new ideas that I'm going to try. I'm inspired by Rudy's work with Blacksky Algorithms to use the AT Protocol's features to their fullest. This isn't going to just be a Bluesky feed any longer. I want to make it so you can get the weather notifications you want to get how you want to get them.
As always, this is a labor of love and an opportunity for me to learn, and it won't ever take the highest priority in my life, unless someone wants to pay me a lot of money to make it my job. Even then, it'll still only come in third after my spouse and child.
Watch this space, if you want to. As I start really getting into this again, I'm going to ask for your (the community's) input. I hope you find it as useful as I find it enriching to build.
💙,
Josh
